Job Summary

2026-2027 School Year
Speech & Language Specialist
District Wide
Grades 4-12

Primary Function:
• Administer therapy to children for remediation and improvement of communicative disorders in the areas of articulation, language, fluency, and voice. The Speech and Language Pathologist shall be responsible to the Special Education Administer.
• Screen, diagnose, assess, and identify children, with all types of communicative disorders in accordance with procedures outlined in Special Education policies and procedures.
• Determine goals and objectives for therapy program.
• Provide information for and conduct conferences with parents, teachers, administrators, and other professionals regarding student needs.
• Conduct and participate in in-service training programs
• Direct student specialists in professional preparation.
• Assist consultants or specialists with special assignments when required.
• Other duties as assigned by the Special Education Administrator or Superintendent.
