Responsibilities
- Provide high quality speech services based on individual therapy plans.
- Assures continuation of therapeutic plan up to and following discharge by designing home exercise programs; instructing patients, recommending and/or providing assistive equipment/ follow up programs.
- Promptly and thoroughly documents and maintains clinical and administrative records regarding patient limitations/interventions, treatments, responses and progress to administered therapy as well as discharge summaries.
- Maintains patient records confidentially.
- Records treatment charges daily and completes documentation in accurate and timely manner.
- Complies with the applicable State Speech Therapy Practice Act, codes and regulations.
- Attend team meetings and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to provide holistic services.
- Participate in parent, community, and professional training efforts.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of speech language pathology assistant with an Bachelor27s Degree in Speech Language Pathology.
- Licensure: Current State License to practice Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience: One year experience as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant preferred.
- Skills: Therapy skills as defined as generally accepted standards of practice. Good interpersonal skills.
