Compensation Range:
$68,640.00 - $92,664.00

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities:

Provides services to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children and/or adult populations. Provides direct speech-language services.

Essential Functions:
  • Provides consultation for patients, such as those with neurological disorders, voice disorders, and closed head/traumatic brain injuries. Performs and interprets tests. Provides diagnostic and therapy services that reflect evidence-based practice.
  • Provides counseling, education, and guidance to patients and their families regarding disorder(s). Adapts existing resources to meet patient and caregiver needs.
  • Maintains comprehensive electronic medical records (EMR) for each patient. Communicates through written reports, flowsheet documentation, and other EMR specific tools. Recommends changes in standard departmental practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Education & Experience:
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology and 6 months of experience in Speech Pathology required.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to learn computer programs related to electronic medical records and charge capture/schedule systems required.
  • Knowledge in one or more clinical sub-specialty areas preferred.


Licenses and Certifications:
  • American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology upon hire required.
  • New York State license in Speech-Language Pathology upon hire required.
