This is a part-time or full-time hybrid role as a
Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) serving a school located in
Southgate, MI.The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will be responsible for providing therapy services to students, conducting assessments, developing IEP plans, evaluating progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents). The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with students with special needs.
Job Details- School-based opportunity with a 35-hour weekly schedule, with full-time and part-time opportunities available
- Hybrid school-based assignment serving students in Kindergarten through 12th grade, with a combination of on-site services and remote responsibilities based on district needs.
- Clinical Fellowship (CFY) candidates with an active Michigan LARA license are encouraged to apply
- Provide direct speech-language therapy, complete comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and participate in case management responsibilities
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication and educational success
- Guaranteed paid hours include direct services, documentation, report writing, planning, meetings, and administrative responsibilities
- Balanced caseloads designed to promote high-quality services and a positive work-life balance
- Ongoing collaboration and professional support from both the partnering school district and the TheraPeds Partners team
- $60-$85+ per hour, with estimated weekly earnings of approximately $2100-$1820+ based on a 35-hour schedule
RequirementsQualifications- Master's or PhD degree from a Speech-Language Pathology program
- State License as Speech-Language Pathologist
- Department of Education Licensure as a SLP
- National License: ASHA
- Licensing with the State Department of Education, where required
- CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) preferred
- CF-SLP placement is available
- Experience working with children
- Experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
- Organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in use of technology
- Fingerprint background clearance
- Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications
