Full Job Description
TheraPeds Partners is hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time, in-person opportunity in Redwood City, California for the . This position serves students in grades 6-12 and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing comprehensive speech-language services in a collaborative educational setting. You'll work closely with teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers to help students strengthen communication skills that support academic success.
About the Role

As a school-based SLP, you'll provide a full range of speech-language services while supporting students with diverse communication needs. Your responsibilities will include direct intervention, evaluations, consultation, and case management, while partnering with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective student-centered services.
Your Responsibilities
  • Deliver individualized speech-language therapy based on each student's communication goals.
  • Complete comprehensive evaluations and interpret assessment results to determine service recommendations.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) while maintaining compliance with special education requirements.
  • Manage an assigned caseload, including progress monitoring, documentation, and required reporting.
  • Consult with teachers, families, and school staff to integrate communication strategies throughout the educational environment.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and collaborate with therapists, educators, and administrators to support student achievement.
  • Modify treatment plans and intervention strategies based on student progress and ongoing assessment data.
Position Highlights
  • Full-time schedule - 37.5 hours per week
  • 2026-2027 school year (August 2026 through May 2027)
  • On-site assignment in Redwood City, California
  • Supporting students in grades 6-12

Compensation
  • $75-$95+ per hour, based on experience
  • Estimated weekly earnings of $3,000-$3,900+

Requirements

Qualifications
  • Master's or PhD degree from a Speech-Language Pathology program
  • State License as Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Department of Education Licensure as a SLP
  • National License: ASHA
  • Licensing with the State Department of Education, where required
  • CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) preferred
  • CF-SLP placement may be available
  • Experience working with children
  • Experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in use of technology
  • Fingerprint background clearance
  • Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications


Physical Requirements

Working and playing with students requires that employees must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities, while adhering to the duties outlined by the district.
