Full Job Description
This is a full-time, onsite role as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) serving a school located in Rapid City, SD.

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will be responsible for providing therapy services to students, conducting assessments, developing IEP plans, evaluating progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents). The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with students with special needs.

Job Details
  • Full-time onsite school-based opportunity with a 37.5-hour work week
  • Serving elementary students in Kindergarten through 5th grade
  • Clinical Fellowship (CFY) candidates are encouraged to apply with supervision available
  • Provide speech-language services through individual and group therapy, complete comprehensive evaluations, collaborate with educational teams, and oversee an assigned caseload
  • Flexible schedule with a combination of on-site and remote responsibilities, depending on district needs
  • Paid hours include direct treatment, report writing, IEP meetings, treatment planning, documentation, and other professional responsibilities
  • Supportive work environment with ongoing mentorship and collaboration from both the partnering district and the TheraPeds team
  • Well-balanced caseload designed to promote quality services and positive student outcomes
  • Competitive compensation of $65-$85+ per hour, with estimated weekly earnings of $2,438-$3,188+

Requirements

Qualifications
  • Master's or PhD degree from a Speech-Language Pathology program
  • State License as Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Department of Education Licensure as a SLP
  • National License: ASHA
  • Licensing with the State Department of Education, where required
  • CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) preferred
  • CF-SLP placement available
  • Experience working with children
  • Experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in use of technology
  • Fingerprint background clearance
  • Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications


Physical Requirements

Working and playing with students requires that employees must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities, while adhering to the duties outlined by the district.
