Full Job Description
We are currently seeking a full-time, on-site **Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)** to join a school district in **DeFuniak Springs, Florida** for the [redacted] school year. In this role, you will provide comprehensive speech and language services to students, complete evaluations and assessments, develop and implement IEP goals, supervise an SLPA, monitor student progress, and collaborate closely with teachers, families, and other members of the special education team.

Job Details

  • Full-time school-based opportunity with a **37.5-hour weekly schedule**
  • Assignment dates: **August 2026 through May 2027**
  • Providing services for students in **PreK-8th grade**
  • Consistent Monday-Friday schedule, **8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.**
  • Deliver speech-language services including direct intervention, student evaluations, consultations, and management of assigned cases
  • Provide oversight and supervision for **one Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)**
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and related service team members to support student progress and successful outcomes
  • Guaranteed paid hours covering therapy services, documentation, planning, meetings, and administrative responsibilities
  • Fully on-site position within a collaborative school setting
  • Maintain a manageable caseload while providing high-quality student support
  • Receive continued partnership and guidance from both the school district and the TheraPeds Partners team
  • Competitive compensation of $55-$65+ per hour, with estimated weekly earnings of $2,062-$2,437+

Requirements

Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current Speech-Language Pathologist license (state-specific requirements apply)
  • Eligible for or able to obtain Department of Education licensure/certification, where required
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Clinical Fellowship (CF-SLP) candidates are encouraged to apply
  • Previous experience working with children required; school-based experience is a plus but not necessary
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Comfortable using technology for documentation, therapy, and collaboration
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required fingerprint/background clearance
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships and collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and sound judgement


Physical Requirements

Working and playing with students requires that employees must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities, **while adhering to the duties outlined by the district.**
