Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

Hourly Rate: $48.00 - $56.00 per hour

Position Summary
RCM Health Care Services is seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students at an elementary school near Bellwood, IL for the [redacted] school year. This position serves students in grades K-5 and offers a manageable caseload of approximately 35 students, along with a small number of RTI/MTSS support students. Join a collaborative school team dedicated to helping students achieve communication and academic success.

Responsibilities

• Schedule / Shift

  • Shift details: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch
  • Hours per week: 35 hours
  • Contract length: 2026-2027 school year

• Key Duties:

  • Provide speech-language evaluations, therapy services, and educational support to students in grades K-5
  • Deliver services to students with expressive language, receptive language, pragmatic language, articulation, phonology, and fluency needs
  • Support a small number of RTI/MTSS students through intervention and consultation services
  • Manage a caseload of approximately 35 students
  • Provide services within a 3rd-grade instructional classroom serving students with cross-categorical needs
  • Serve as case manager for students receiving speech-language services only, typically 5-10 students
  • Maintain accurate therapy documentation, progress reports, and IEP-related records
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers to support student success

Requirements

• Education

  • Required: Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

• Licenses & Certifications

  • Required: Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license through IDFPR
  • Required: Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) through ISBE
  • Preferred: Previous school-based Speech Language Pathology experience

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders in school-aged children
  • Experience supporting students with language, articulation, phonological, fluency, and pragmatic communication needs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage caseload responsibilities, documentation, and case management duties
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary educational team
