Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist / Speech Therapist

Location: Westminster, MD

Pay Rate: $50.00 - $55.00 / hour

Job Type: Full-Time

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (Speech Therapist) to join our clinical team. In this role, you will evaluate and treat adult and geriatric residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders (dysphagia) in a skilled nursing and short-term rehabilitation setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech, language, cognitive communication, and swallowing function.
  • Design and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to resident goals.
  • Evaluate and manage dysphagia, recommending appropriate diet textures and therapeutic swallowing techniques.
  • Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team-including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, and physicians-to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Complete timely, accurate clinical documentation and progress reports in compliance with state and federal standards.
  • Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment strategies and home plans.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Active (or eligible for) Speech-Language Pathology licensure in the state of Maryland.
  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong Clinical Fellows (CFY) with relevant adult/SNF experience may be considered.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF), post-acute rehab, or long-term care environment preferred.
  • Skills: Strong clinical knowledge of adult neurogenic disorders and dysphagia management; excellent communication and teamwork skills.
