Speech Language Pathologist

Pay Range:

$55-70/hour

Job Description:



Position Details:
  • Location: Palos School District 118
  • Starting August 2026 through December 2026
  • Setting: Middle School
  • 1.0 FTE, M-F Long-term Coverage


What You'll Do
  • Provide speech and language evaluations and therapy services to assigned students
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with student needs and IEP goals
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation and data
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student communication and learning
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to service recommendations
  • Maintain compliant and confidential student records in accordance with regulations
  • Support a range of student communication needs across school settings
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support student success


What We're Looking For
  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School SLP endorsement
  • Valid Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation SLP license
  • Master's Degree from a Professional Standards Commission approved accredited college or university in Speech Language Therapy
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • School-based experience preferred, not required
