Maternal Child team.

Reporting Relationship: Hourly Rate: $44.67 - $57.90
Responsibilities: - Ensure a high standard of patient care in accordance with Speech-Language Pathology policies and procedures.
- Assess, treat, and manage referred patients with acute medical needs within the Medicine Program, including the ICU and Emergency Department, with additional coverage in the Surgery, Stroke, and Post-Acute Programs as required.
- Provide clinical care to adults with dysphagia and communication disorders in an acute care setting.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Document patient assessments, progress, and discharge status in accordance with professional and organizational standards.
- Participate in discharge planning in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members, including completing required applications for external resources.
- Record workload measurement data accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide consultation to other disciplines within the physical medicine area.
- Serve as a clinical supervisor for Speech-Language Pathology students.
- Provide coverage across multiple sites, including the Wilson and Reactivation Care Centres (Finch and Church locations).
Qualifications:- Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology or equivalent.
- Registration with CASLPO.
- Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Sound professional knowledge and judgment in a clinical role.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Supportive of a multidisciplinary approach.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
