Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) serving a school located in the
Highlands Ranch, CO area
The
Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) will be responsible for providing therapy services to students, conducting screeners, monitoring progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents). The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with students with special needs.
Job Details- Full Time, 37.5 hours/week
- Following the school calendar start and end dates: August/September - May, 2027
- Grades: Elementary - Middle/High school.
- Coverage: 1-3 schools
- Job Duties: direct therapy, consultation, planning, collaboration with SLP supervisor
- Guaranteed Hours, including documentation, administrative and planning time
- On-site, in person
- Manageable caseloads
- Dual support from the District and TheraPeds
- $40-$50+/hour
- Depending upon job placement and caseload, this positions could be working within 1-2 buildings, sometimes more. These details will be further discussed at the interview.
RequirementsQualifications- Valid SLPA Certification from an ASHA approved institution
- Department of education licensure as an SLPA, where required
- State License as Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant, where required
- Experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
- Experience working with children
- Organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in use of technology
- Fingerprint background clearance
- Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications
Physical RequirementsWorking and playing with students requires that employees must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities,
