Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Specialist in systems engineering. The Specialist will collaborate with multiple teams in support of Imagery Intelligence (IMINT) systems. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of a variety of IMINT systems, collection platforms, ground stations, including their capabilities, employment, testing, and integration. The SA will support various programs assisting in system integration, requirements verification and validation, as well as troubleshooting for full system and subsystems integrations.

Essential Functions:
  • Translate the voice of the customer into system level requirements.
  • Understand physical architectures incorporating voice, video, and data capability across multiple security domains.
  • Understand test, integration, verification, and validation planning.
  • Review and evaluate electrical wiring diagrams to ensure design details trace to system requirements.
  • Author effective verification test procedures ensuring system performance and capabilities meet system requirements.
  • Execute verification test procedures to ensure system performance and capabilities meet system requirements.
  • Perform hands-on test, integration, and verification of software and/or hardware.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 10%.
  • Must have an active Secret Clearance at the time of hire with the ability to obtain a Top Secret with SCI.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant engineering experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related engineering experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of prior related engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with test, integration, verification, and validation planning.
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing and evaluating electrical wiring diagrams to ensure design details trace to system requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience with hands-on test, integration, and verification of software and/or hardware.


Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Active Top Secret with SCI security clearance.
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification.
  • Coursework and/or experience in systems engineering, systems architecture, systems analysis and design, system performance modeling, integration, and/or model-based systems engineering.
  • Ability to successfully pass an FAA Class 3 Flight Physical and Altitude chamber to support test flights.
  • Military EO/IR, Radar, RF, ECM, IRCM and/or Aircraft Self Protection Maintenance experience.
  • Experienced operating in a Linux environment.
  • Experienced with DOORS and/or Jira.
