Specialist, Strategic Sourcing (P3) What this job involves
Serve as the category manager for Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) services supporting a dedicated client account, with full accountability for category strategy, supplier management, and sourcing execution. This individual contributor role acts as the primary procurement authority and requires independence, initiative, and professional judgment to lead complex RFx processes from cradle to grave. A key initial focus will be standardizing existing scopes of work, work order data, and service schedules to establish operational clarity and data integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Category Management & Sourcing Strategy
- Serve as the primary subject matter expert and procurement authority for the assigned category
- Own the end-to-end strategy, sourcing approach, supplier management, and governance
- Create and execute sourcing plans for the assigned category focused on cost savings or best value, supplier consolidation, optimization, and sustainability
- Provide market, supplier, and operational intelligence to optimize services operations
- Standardize and refine scopes of work, work order data, service schedules, and category documentation to improve accuracy, consistency, and operational efficiency
- Monitor supplier performance, market trends, and risk exposure
- Drive value creation and continuous improvement within the category
- Develop and implement standardized, efficient sourcing processes to streamline program operations
Contract Management & Compliance
- Analyze and validate supplier pricing, service scopes, and deliverables to ensure accuracy and optimal client value
- Negotiate, draft, and execute supplier contracts for all providers within the category
- Negotiate business terms rather than accepting supplier proposals at face value
- Ensure all suppliers maintain compliance with contractual terms, service level agreements, and performance requirements
- Monitor contract lifecycle milestones including renewals, amendments, and terminations
- Partner with Corporate Legal and Risk Management to ensure contractual terms comply with requirements and receive formal approval
- Develop and implement standardized scopes of work templates across all contracts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency
- Review existing contracts to identify and correct scope deficiencies, ambiguities, or misalignments with actual services
- Maintain accurate work order data and service schedules; regularly validate data integrity to support operational execution and performance management
End-to-End RFx Leadership
- Independently lead RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes from initiation through award and contract execution
- Perform due diligence and assessment of prospective suppliers
- Develop scopes of work, evaluation criteria, and structured timelines
- Facilitate supplier communications and coordinate cross-functional stakeholder engagement
- Lead negotiations and prepare award recommendations
- Ensure effective transition to operations during implementation
- Maintain governance, documentation, and compliance throughout the process
- Must be able to independently manage full RFx lifecycles without step-by-step oversight
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including analysis of large and complex data sets
- Analyze spend data, supplier performance metrics, and cost structures
- Build and maintain data models, summaries, and evaluation tools
- Perform data cleaning, manipulation, and comparative analysis
- Translate raw data into clear insights and actionable recommendations
- Provide regular detailed status updates to Supply Chain and business stakeholders
- Maintain data integrity across all systems
Stakeholder & Supplier Management
- Collaborate with clients and JLL Teams (Sourcing, Facility, Finance, etc.)to drive sustained client benefits
- Proactively secure procurement involvement early in IFM planning discussions
- Exercise discretion and sound judgment with sensitive information
- Represent Sourcing professionally as the category expert
- Provide guidance, instruction, and follow-up to operations teams on RFP/bid, contracting, and supplier onboarding processes
- Manage internal and external customer expectations proactively
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure all required documents exist and are current for every supplier: contracts, Certificates of Insurance (COIs), amendments, termination notices, insurance renewals, and compliance certifications
- Organize and maintain all supplier documentation in designated location(s) / system(s) using clear, straightforward filing structures for audit readiness and operational access
- Ensure compliance with JLL's and client's sourcing and contracting policies, procedures, risk management programs, and ethics standards
- Maintain sole accountability for supplier relationships and documentation within the assigned category
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of strategic sourcing experience for services or indirect categories (facility services highly desired)
- Must be consistently available during standard business hours (e.g., 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM MST) with reliable access to desk, computer, phone, email, and video conferencing systems (Zoom / Microsoft Teams) to respond to time-sensitive client requests, attend virtual meetings, and support operational needs; position requires real-time responsiveness and ability to participate in video calls to support client service delivery expectations
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex RFx processes from cradle to grave
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis
- Experience managing IFM or facilities-related procurement categories preferred
- Experience with JLL procurement systems (i.e. Jaggaer, Corrigo, Aravo) highly desired
- Proven track record of excellent internal and external customer service
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while delivering results in fast-paced environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to influence professionally
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university

Expected compensation for this position:95,000.00 - 114,000.00 USD per year
Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
