Responsibilities

The Supply Chain Offload Specialist will be based at the Triumph Valencia facility. The Supply Chain Offload Specialist will provide leadership in achieving the OpCo business objectives through effective management and execution of activities that create a discriminating competitive advantage for the Company.
• Lead the deployment of the work transfers using automated transfer tools (for example - Project Risk Assessments, Project Planning, Buffer Stock Management)
• Maintain a strong understanding of material specifications, processing, and treatment requirements related to work transfer.
• Serve as the site focal point for resolving questions and issues identified on work transfer checklists
• Maintain a program-level work transfer tracker that provides visibility into the status of all parts included in the work transfer.
• Ensure compliance with industry leading standards, company policies, and ethical business practices.
• Ensure the Valencia ASL is maintained and updated to reflect new suppliers and required approvals
• Achieve the lowest possible material cost while balancing optimal quality and schedule requirements.
• Solicit and evaluate supplier proposals using appropriate negotiation, cost and price analysis techniques, leveraging expertise from supporting organizations as needed.
• Raise all the FAIR purchase orders and subsequent purchase orders required to support batch production
• Conduct ongoing market analysis, and monist supplier performance, capacity, and progress against business requirements.
• Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with key participants across the supply chain.
• Coordinate supplier training and development activities to support business initiatives and improve supplier performance.
• Lead domestic offload activities with focus on complex machine parts.
• Leverage existing supplier relationships and develop new supplier sources across the Midwest, Southeast, Texas and other emerging regions
• Willingness to travel approximately 25%-30%.
• Position reports functionally to the Site Purchasing Leader

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least 8 years of experience in a Sourcing environment
• At least 7 years of experience in a Sourcing position, including negotiation involvement
• Expertise managing complex machines components and aerospace manufacturing processes.
• Strong knowledge of material specifications, machining processes, special processes, and applicable industry standards.
• Established relationships with domestic aerospace machine suppliers is required.
• Existing supplier relationships across the Midwest, Southeast, Texas and other emerging manufacturing regions preferred.
• Proven experience with supplier development, qualification, performance management and strategic sourcing.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate pricing and evaluate supplier proposals using cost and price analysis techniques.
• Experience managing purchase orders, supplier commitments, delivery schedules, and production requirements.
• Knowledge of FAIRs, ASL management, NCRs, configuration control and engineering drawing changes preferred.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain cost, quality, delivery, and capacity requirements.
• Strong analytical, negation, problem solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively across Procurement, Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Configurations Management.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive projects to completion with minimal supervision.
• Experience developing and training suppliers to support business initiates and improve performance
• Ability and willingness to travel 25-30%
