The opportunity

The Partnership Operations Group is dedicated to supporting EY Canada leaders across both the partner talent and financial life cycles. As a team of problem solvers, we are committed to resolving complex business issues and providing comprehensive support from strategy through to implementation.

As Specialist, Operations & Finance, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing complex administrative functions, enhancing operational processes, and delivering high-impact reporting and insights. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong communication capabilities, and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion. You will collaborate closely with senior leaders and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that elevate the quality and efficiency of our services.

This position is fully on-site at the Toronto office, facilitating close collaboration, effective communication, and secure handling of sensitive information.

Your key responsibilities

  • Operational Excellence
    • Oversee the maintenance of complex administrative data and ensure timely an accurate production of monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reports.
    • Leverage technology and data analytics to generate actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.
  • Communications & Innovation
    • Serve as a key point of contact for senior stakeholders, ensuring exceptional service delivery and responsiveness.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    • Address queries in clear and comprehensive language.
  • Governance & Compliance
    • Manage sensitive files and records with a high degree of confidentiality and accuracy.
    • Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Process Innovation
    • Proactively identify and implement opportunities to streamline and enhance administrative processes.
    • Develop and maintain clear standard operating procedures to support scalability, control hazards and promote consistency.
  • Project & Stakeholder Management
    • Lead and support ad hoc projects, balancing multiple priorities and deadlines with minimal supervision.
    • Prepare high-quality presentations and communications for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Continuous Development
    • Stay current with industry best practices and participate in relevant training and development opportunities.
    • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment.


Skills and attributes for success
  • Bachelor's degree combined with 3-5 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment, ideally in operations, administration, or a similar field.
  • Strong professional verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong confidentiality, tact, and discretion in preparing, disclosing, and handling sensitive information.
  • Highly adaptable to change with excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and analytical abilities for a structured and efficient approach to tasks.
  • Proven track record in learning and effectively using various independent systems.
  • Initiative in driving process improvements and innovation, with a strong adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Solid understanding of processes, policies, and procedures required for supporting an organization.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, care, and diligence in problem-solving, decision-making, execution, and stakeholder interactions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products, including advanced Excel skills (lookups and pivot tables) and advanced Word skills (mail merge).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • This position is fully on-site and requires the individual to work from the Toronto office.

EY reports salary ranges in accordance with applicable provincial pay transparency legislation. Individual salaries within the anticipated salary ranges noted below are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, education, relevant experience, knowledge, and applicable skill sets.
