Position Summary

The Specialist, IT Governance enables effective IT governance by facilitating structured decision-making, coordinating governance activities, and supporting stakeholder alignment. This role prepares and supports governance meetings and working sessions, ensuring discussions result in clear decisions, action items, and follow-through. The Specialist partners with IT and business stakeholders to organize information, maintain transparency, and ensure consistency in governance processes. Success in this role is driven by strong organizational, communication, and facilitation skills, with a primary focus on coordination and process enablement rather than technical data analysis.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Plans and executes IT governance meetings and working sessions, ensuring agendas are clear, participants are prepared, and discussions stay focused and productive
  • Facilitates structured discussions that drive decision-making, stakeholder alignment, and resolution of issues
  • Oversees the governance rhythm by managing recurring meetings and working sessions, tracking commitments, and ensuring timely follow-through across decisions and actions
  • Converts inputs into clear outputs (summaries, decisions, action items) that enable transparency and informed decision-making for the business
  • Partners with stakeholders to clarify inputs, align priorities, and drive progress on agreed actions
  • Improves governance processes by identifying gaps, organizing inputs, and supporting implementation of practical enhancements
  • Maintains accurate governance artifacts (records, decisions, action logs) to ensure traceability and accountability
  • Leverages tools (Excel, Power BI, SharePoint, JIRA, Confluence, or similar) to support coordination, tracking, and communication-not as a primary deliverable
  • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years of experience in IT, governance, process support, portfolio support, or a related operational or analytical role
  • Experience supporting or facilitating meetings, working sessions, or recurring processes that require strong preparation, organization, documentation, and follow-through
  • Experience producing structured deliverables (e.g., documentation, summaries, reports, dashboards, or presentations) to support collaboration, review, or decision-making
  • Experience using tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or similar) to support tracking, organization, and communication of governance activities
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including comfort presenting information, facilitating discussions, and engaging with stakeholders in meeting settings
  • Valid passport and eligibility for international travel required


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Practical exposure to IT governance, portfolio management, or operational process support in a professional setting
  • Familiarity with organizing, analyzing, and synthesizing information to support prioritization, planning, tracking, or governance discussions
  • Working knowledge of IT service management, governance, or process improvement concepts gained through applied experience or training
  • Experience supporting structured governance forums (e.g., governance meetings, reviews, or working sessions), with an emphasis on facilitation, coordination, and follow-through
  • Familiarity with collaboration and documentation tools (e.g., SharePoint, JIRA, Confluence, or similar) to support governance coordination and communication
