Job Title: Specialist, Inventory Program Finance Analyst Job Code: 44640 Job Location: Mason, OH Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked - and have every other Friday off Job Description:The purpose of this position is to support Sensors leadership by enabling effective decision-making related to inventory planning, control, and analysis. This role will develop strong cross-functional relationships and work closely with other teams to ensure appropriate internal controls and processes are followed, so that inventory data, material availability, and reporting are accurate, timely, and aligned with business and customer requirements.
Essential Functions:- Analyze inventory data to support accurate tracking, reporting, and decision-making across the organization.
- Monitor inventory levels, material availability, and stock movement to help ensure operational and customer requirements are met.
- Partner with cross-functional teams such as supply chain, production, and program management to resolve inventory issues and improve material flow.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure transactions are completed in compliance with internal controls, company procedures, and applicable requirements.
- Perform inventory reconciliations, cycle count analysis, and root cause investigations to identify and correct discrepancies.
- Support forecasting, planning, and replenishment activities to optimize inventory levels and minimize excess or shortages.
- Develop and generate routine and ad hoc reports related to inventory performance, trends, and key metrics.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and support implementation of best practices in inventory management and control.
- Assist with audits and provide documentation and analysis to demonstrate compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Communicate inventory risks, issues, and recommendations clearly to leadership and relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:- Experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) as it relates to pricing activities
- Experience with defense industry and/or multiple contract types (CPFF, CPIF, FPIF, FFP, T&M, OTA etc.) either in execution or in the proposal phase
- Understanding of Government Cost Accounting and Finance principles
- Experience in cost estimating, cost analysis, and/or proposal pricing
- Experience with Excel using Pivot Tables, V-Look ups and SUM/IF formulas
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Aptitude to read and understand complex requirement documents
- Must be a team player, flexible, adaptable, proactive with organizational and problem-solving skills
