Job Title: Specialist, Industrial Security Job Code: 44319 Job Location: Jupiter, FL Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked - and have every other Friday offJob Description:The Industrial Security Specialist position is primarily responsible for providing administrative, technical, and service support for all security, video, access control, and associated low-voltage wiring systems across the facility. The role conducts security inspections to ensure compliance with policies and procedures for the handling and storage of classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment, while also tracking and analyzing data and managing contracts related to maintenance, procurement, and recurring inspections. Additional responsibilities include overseeing and supporting installation and minor repair of low-voltage systems, training personnel on access control and alarm monitoring systems, and applying knowledge of Department of Defense security requirements, UL alarm standards, and technical procedures in a clear, user-friendly manner.
Essential Functions: - Coordinating and monitoring multiple aspects of the DoD Industrial Security Program and security activities while ensuring compliance with Government and company security policies and procedures.
- Supports the Facility Security Officer and Information System Security Manager by performing a variety of industrial security compliance duties to include administering compliance: Classified safeguarding, personnel security, access control, document control, security education and training, and insider threat, and compiling, maintaining, and monitoring statistical reports in support of the department.
- Provides solutions to problems involving unusual complexity. Provides input to Security department objectives and long-range goals. Keeps current within area of specialty in support of company objectives and assignments. Keeps current with Federal and contractual security requirements and trends. Represents the Security COE as required. Interacts with internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordinative activity across organizational lines.
- Responsibilities include administering day-to-day security activities, including handling security functions in physical, information, and subcontract security disciplines.
- Program Security: Monitoring and reviewing DD254's (Classified Contract Specification) to ensure that they are current and updated Security Classification guidance is on-file and available.
- Assists with conducting investigations to verify information obtained to establish accuracy and authenticity of facts and evidence.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- Must have an Active DOD Secret Security Clearance
Preferred Additional Skills:- Working knowledge of Department of Defense security requirements and UL alarm standards.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to translate complex technical instructions into user-friendly actions and interpersonal skills to effectively interface with all levels of personnel.
- The ability to operate effectively in a team and individual contributor environments is also required.
- Strong working knowledge of 32 CFR, Part 117 (NISPOM), applicable National Institute of Standards and Technologies (NIST) publications, and other relevant national security policies.
- Familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF), DCSA Assessment and Authorization Manual (DAAPM) is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams to achieve business goals and compliance objectives within established milestones.
- FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities certification
- Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) and/or Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) experience
- Extensive knowledge with national industrial security policies and compliance programs
