Full Job Description
We are looking for a driven and innovative Senior Specialist, HR Automation & AI to join our HR Operations & Technology PMO aligned team. In this role, you will help transform how HR work gets done by applying process redesign, automation, and AI to core HR processes.

You will work hands-on to map and analyze current HR processes, identify high value automation and AI opportunities, and design intelligent workflows and agents that improve efficiency, accuracy, and the employee experience. This role operates within established data, compliance, governance, and change management guardrails, ensuring responsible and sustainable innovation across HR.

In this role...

You will do hands-on Automation & AI Development within HR
  • Support the hands-on configuration, deployment, documentation, and maintenance of automation and AI-enabled solutions
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of intelligent agents and workflows, ensuring reliability, scalability, and explainability
  • Monitor solution performance and recommend enhancements to improve effectiveness over time


You will contribute to the Future-State & Solution Design within HR
  • Contribute to the design of future-state HR processes and ways of working that embed automation and AI responsibly
  • Ensure solutions improve efficiency, accuracy, and user experience while aligning with HR policies and business needs


You will be responsible for Process Analysis & Continuous Improvement
  • Map and analyze HR operational processes to identify inefficiencies, variation, and opportunities for automation or AI enablement
  • Apply structured improvement methodologies (e.g., process mapping, lean principles, design thinking) to redesign workflows and standard work
  • Translate complex HR processes into simplified, scalable solutions

You will support Project & Change Execution
  • Lead or support small- to medium-scale automation and AI initiatives from concept through deployment and adoption
  • Partner closely with HR, HR Technology, IT, and change stakeholders to support successful implementation and adoption
  • Support change management activities including impact analysis, stakeholder engagement, and adoption tracking

  • Partner with functional HR teams to understand business needs and identify opportunities to apply automation and AI
  • Contribute to larger initiatives and cross-HR projects where automation or AI capabilities can add value


What You Will Need To Succeed...
  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience in process improvement, systems analysis, automation, HR technology, or transformation roles with some experience in AI and Agent Building
  • You have experience working with HR processes and an understanding of HR services and employee lifecycle fundamentals
  • You have hands-on experience applying automation and/or AI thoughtfully in a business context, particularly where data sensitivity and human judgment are required
  • You have experience with building, configuring, or leveraging automation or AI-enabled tools (e.g., low-code/no-code platforms, RPA, workflow tools, AI copilots, or integrations)
  • Your Location: We are looking for someone driving distance to our HQ in Westbrook, Maine where we offer a flexible hybrid requirement of only 8 days per month on-site. Alternatively, we are open to considering those in NH or MA if you are willing to come on-site, but perhaps less often.
  • You have strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities in parallel
  • You have a collaborative mindset and passion for using technology to solve real business problems
  • You have strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex processes into simple, effective solutions
  • You have a Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • You have led medium-complexity automation and AI initiatives end-to-end (analysis through deployment and continuous improvement), partnering cross-functionally with HR and IT while contributing to evolving best practices.

• Base annual salary target: $100000 - $115000 (yes, we do have flexibility if needed)
