  • Coordinate with environmental health and safety, maintenance, finance, and other departments for successful project execution.
  • Oversee service and construction contractors to ensure compliance and quality.
  • Adapt to various work environments, both indoor and outdoor, conducting physical tasks as necessary.

Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days- totaling 80 hours worked- and have every other Friday off

Job Description:

Lead Facility Capital projects for the Installation or modification of Manufacturing, Process and Lab equipment; and Facility Expansion and Modifications.

Essential Functions:

  • The responsibilities of this position include being the primary internal customer interface, external contractor interface, and leading Project Teams on a variety of Facilities Projects such as purchase and installation of industrial machinery & equipment, facilities upgrades & renovations, moves & rearrangements of lab and manufacturing functions, and other support.
  • Developing and maintaining project scope, schedule, cost, AutoCad layouts, and project specifications.
  • Generating and reviewing/approving work authorizations and invoices for payment.
  • Coordinating with Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S), Maintenance, Supply Management, Finance, and others for the successful planning, implementation, and completion of assigned projects.
  • Oversight of service and construction contractors.
  • Ability to work in a combination of indoor and outdoor environments (hot, cold, wet, humid conditions) with a varied amount of walking, standing, sitting, climbing (i.e. ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps), as well as a standard office setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior facilities engineering experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior facilities engineering experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior facilities engineering experience


Preferred Additional Skills:

  • BA/BS degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural Engineering or Architecture plus 5+ years related experience.
  • Knowledge of local Building codes and AutoCad preferred.
  • Knowledge of Access & Oracle Databases preferred.
  • Experience buying equipment for the shop floor.
  • High level of Safety and Customer focus.
  • Strong skills in leadership, teamwork, Risk and Opportunity Management, and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, customer personnel, outside agencies, suppliers and others.
  • Experience leading several projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, & MS Project.


In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in the State of California, is $79,000 - $147,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
