Job Title: Specialist, Cyber IntelligenceJob Code: 44699Job Location: Greenville, TXSchedule: 9/80 - Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked - and have every other Friday offJob Description:The Information System Security Officer (ISSO) is responsible for supporting the cybersecurity posture of assigned information systems and ensuring compliance with applicable security requirements, policies, and standards. This role assists with implementing and maintaining security controls, monitoring system security, managing vulnerabilities, supporting incident response, and maintaining required cybersecurity documentation. The ISSO works closely with system administrators, engineers, program teams, and the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) to help protect systems, support authorization activities, and maintain ongoing compliance.
Essential Functions:- Support the development and risk assessment procedures for verification of RMF/Assessment and Authorization (A&A) safeguards to meet various regulatory requirements based upon RMF and NIST 800 series (800-37, 800-53, 800-61, etc) guidelines.
- Author and provide input for various artifacts supporting the RMF package to include the System Security Plan (SSP), Security Control Traceability Matrix (SCTM), Plan of Actions & Milestones (POA&M), Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) Plan, CONOPS, and other RMF BoE artifacts.
- Responsible for analyzing and/or administering security controls for information systems.
- The selected candidate will act as a member of a diverse security team and participate in Engineering and Configuration Review Boards and Working Groups to develop secure system solutions.
- Support IA Program compliance by performing periodic self-inspections, tests and reviews of the IS to ensure that systems are operating as authorized/accredited and that conditions have not changed.
- Compliance with change management processes (hardware/software, account Management, Disposition, Assured File Transfers (AFT) and related documentation in accordance to policies and procedures.
- Review audit data of the IS and IS components (technical & physical) for anomalous or unauthorized activities.
- Participate in documenting and reviewing security related workflows and procedures to mitigate vulnerabilities and recommend changes to system or system components.
- Conduct Cybersecurity training, briefings, and presentations for multiple levels of business.
Qualifications:- Active US Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience.
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- Demonstrated experience with Windows operating systems, Linux operating systems and other related peripherals.
- Demonstrated experience with Classified system(s) accreditation.
- Demonstrated experience with RMF/Assessment and Authorization (A&A) safeguards to meet various regulatory requirements.
- Current DoD IAM Level I/IAT Level 2 Certification (e.g., Security+).
Preferred Additional Skills- Experience with SPLUNK, Tenable, and other security software/systems.
- Experience with configuration/certification and auditing/analysis of Windows and Linux.
- Experience in JSIG Environments.
- Experience with applying, searching, leveraging SCAP and STIGs.
- Experience with technical configuration standards relating to information system security.
- Experience in risk management, mitigation, and customer service.
