Position Details:
  • Special Education Teacher supporting ASD & SSN center-based classrooms
  • Full-time, 1.0 FTE
  • Monday-Friday, 5 days per week
  • Starting August 2026 for the entire 2026-2027 school year

About the Role

Hello Special Education Teachers! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Special Education Teacher in Golden, CO to support students in ASD and SSN center-based classrooms. In this role, you'll provide individualized instruction, develop and implement IEPs, and create a structured, supportive learning environment tailored to students' unique needs. You'll collaborate with a supportive school team while receiving support from a therapist-run company.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
  • Provide specialized instruction across academic and functional areas
  • Support students in a structured, center-based classroom environment
  • Implement appropriate behavioral and instructional strategies
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
  • Maintain accurate progress reports and required documentation
  • Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs

What We're Looking For
  • Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license with a Special Education endorsement
  • Strong classroom management and collaboration skills
  • Experience working with students with ASD and/or SSN preferred
  • School-based experience preferred, but not required
