About the Role: Provide educational instruction to students in K-12 school settings. You'll conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver educational support to help students improve their skills and access their education. This role collaborates closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student outcomes.

What You'll Do:
  • Designing and implementing legally mandated, customized educational plans that outline specific goals, services, and accommodations for each student.
  • Modify standard lesson plans and using specialized teaching techniques (e.g., multi-sensory learning, scaffolding) to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Use both formal and informal tools to monitor academic and behavioral performance, then updating IEP goals based on this data.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes general education teachers, parents, school counselors, speech therapists, and administrators to provide holistic support.
  • Coordinate special education documentation, maintaining confidential records, and ensuring legal compliance with federal and state regulations like the Individuals with Disabilities Act.
  • Implement behavior intervention plans, utilizing positive reinforcement, and managing classroom crises to create a safe learning environment.
  • Supervision: Overseeing and mentoring Instructional Assistants or Paraprofessionals who provide direct support to students.
