THE POSITION

The candidate will be a Special Education teacher with ABA training who has experience working in a special education classroom or resource room setting, with behavior modification experience. He/she should desire to work cooperatively with academic teachers within a team concept

QUALIFICATIONS

1. NJ Teacher of the Handicapped or Teacher of Students with Disabilities and Elementary Education certification required.
2. Experience teaching students in a self-contained Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) program required; experience implementing ABA principles and strategies preferred.
3. Demonstrated knowledge of designing and implementing individualized educational programs for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, including differentiated instruction, AAC, behavior supports, communication development, and data-driven decision making.
4. Demonstrated ability to work with middle school students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and diverse communication, behavioral, academic, and functional needs preferred.
5. Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills.
6. Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident/immigrant status.

Starting Salary Range:
• Bachelor's Degree: $70,000 - $100,315
• Master's Degree: $77,450 - $109,865
• Master's + 30 Credits: $81,565 - $115,450
• Doctorate: $84,565 - $118,450
