Le CH146 représente la plus grande flotte d'hélicoptères du Canada et est l'actif le plus déployé, utilisé dans de multiples rôles à travers le pays. Actuellement, le CH146 fait l'objet d'un important projet de modernisation qui propulsera cette plateforme d'hélicoptère dans le 21e siècle. Ce programme de prolongation limitée de la vie du Griffon (PLVG) a été accordé par le gouvernement du Canada pour mettre à niveau la flotte existante avec des systèmes avioniques, des moteurs, des écrans de cockpit et des systèmes de capteurs intégrés afin de répondre aux exigences de la navigation civile et de rester tactiquement viable jusqu'en 2035.

Description du poste

En soutien au directeur du soutien logistique intégré des programmes gouvernementaux canadiens, le Spécialiste des logiciels (SDL) travaillera en étroite collaboration avec l'équipe et les experts en la matière au sein de BTCL et de l'organisation du ministère de la défense nationale (MDN). En utilisant les documents et les normes applicables, le SDL sera responsable de développer le concept de maintien de la configuration des logiciels, tant en vol que lors d'activités de support à la maintenance, y compris, sans s'y limiter, les tâches suivantes :

  • Gestion de la configuration logicielle (GCL) :
  • Développer, mettre en œuvre et maintenir les processus GCL pour tous les composants logiciels utilisés dans les systèmes aéronautiques et de soutien au sol.
  • Établir et gérer des systèmes de contrôle de version pour suivre les modifications, révisions et mises à jour des logiciels.
  • Assurer une documentation et une traçabilité appropriées de toutes les configurations logicielles.
  • Compréhension approfondie des phases du cycle de vie du développement logiciel, y compris l'analyse des exigences, la conception, le développement, les tests, le déploiement et la maintenance.
  • Connaissance des systèmes de bases de données tels que MySQL, PostgreSQL ou SQLite pour gérer les données de configuration.
  • Créer et maintenir un registre des configurations logicielles actives dans toute la flotte, à la fois en vol et en maintenance.
  • Connaissance des normes de cybersécurité pour les logiciels aéronautiques (par exemple, DO-326A).
  • Assurer la conformité au programme de cybersécurité tel qu'indiqué dans les exigences de surveillance de la cybersécurité des systèmes d'armes aéronautiques (AWSCM) et détaillé dans le manuel de navigabilité technique (TAM).
  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les équipes de développement logiciel, les ingénieurs systèmes et les équipes d'assurance qualité pour assurer une intégration transparente des composants logiciels.
  • Développer et coordonner le suivi de la gestion du matériel utilisé pour les opérations et la maintenance par diverses unités du MDN.
  • Collaborer avec divers fournisseurs pour obtenir les informations nécessaires à l'analyse d'impact d'une nouvelle configuration logicielle.
  • Faciliter et gérer les conseils de changement de configuration pour chaque élément de configuration afin d'évaluer, approuver et documenter les modifications proposées.
  • Participer à la rédaction et à la mise en œuvre des procédures internes du département concernant la configuration logicielle.
  • Contribuer à la planification du travail pour garantir la livraison de divers livrables dans les délais impartis.


Exigences

  • Détenir un baccalauréat en génie informatique, génie logiciel, génie aérospatial ou dans un domaine connexe.
  • Expérience dans l'industrie aérospatiale ou industrie réglementée par le gouvernement.
  • Plus de cinq (5) ans d'expérience dans la réalisation de diverses activités de soutien logistique intégré, telles que l'analyse économique, l'analyse d'impact des modifications de conception, la publication technique et/ou les activités de gestion de configuration.
  • Forte capacité à interpréter la documentation technique telle que les dessins, spécifications et normes.
  • Travailler de manière autonome et développer des solutions pour des tâches de complexité intermédiaire.
  • Solides compétences organisationnelles et excellentes capacités de communication, avec une capacité démontrée à faire des présentations à des cadres supérieurs et à des clients.
  • Ce poste nécessite une communication en anglais avec les équipes de Bell en dehors du Québec et/ou ses fournisseurs, partenaires et clients en dehors du Québec. Une connaissance fonctionnelle du français et de l'anglais est essentielle.

The CH146 represents Canada's largest helicopter fleet and is the most deployed asset, used in multiple roles across the country. Currently, the CH146 is undergoing a major modernization project that will propel this helicopter platform into the 21st century. The Griffon Limited Life Extension (GLLE) program has been granted by the Government of Canada to upgrade the existing fleet with avionics systems, engines, cockpit displays, and integrated sensor systems to meet civil navigation requirements and remain tactically viable until 2035.

Job Description

In support of the Canadian Government Program Integrated Logistics Support Manager, the Software Specialist(SWS) will work closely with the team and subject matter experts within BTCL and the National Defense Minister organization. Using applicable documents and standards, the SWS will be responsible for developing the concept for maintaining software configuration, both in-flight and during maintenance support activities, including but not limited to the following tasks:

  • Software Configuration Management (SCM):


o Develop, implement, and maintain SCM processes for all software components used in aircraft and ground support systems.

o Establish and manage version control systems to track changes, revisions, and updates to software.

o Ensure proper documentation and traceability of all software configurations.
• Deep understanding of Software Development Lifecycle phases, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

  • Knowledge of database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQLite for managing configuration data. Create and maintain a registry of active software configurations across the fleet, both in-flight and in maintenance support.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity standards for aerospace software (e.g., DO-326A).
  • Ensure compliance with the cybersecurity program as stated in the Aircraft Weapon System Cybersecurity Monitoring (AWSCM) requirements and detailed in the Technical Airworthiness Manual (TAM).
  • Work closely with software development teams, systems engineers, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless integration of software components.
  • Develop and coordinate the tracking of hardware management used for operations and maintenance by various DND units.
  • Liaise with various suppliers to obtain the necessary information for impact analysis of a new software configuration.
  • Facilitate and manage Configuration Change Boards for each Configuration Item to evaluate, approve, and document proposed changes.
  • Participate in the drafting and implementation of internal departmental procedures regarding software configuration.
  • Contribute to work planning to ensure the delivery of various deliverables within the allotted timeframes and deadlines.


Requirements

  • Bachelor in degree in Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in aerospace or other government regulated industry.
  • More than five (5) years of experience conducting various integrated logistics support activities, such as economic analysis, impact analysis of design modifications, technical publication, and/or configuration management activities.
  • Strong ability to interpret technical documentation such as drawings, specifications, and standards is required.
  • Works autonomously and develops solutions for tasks of intermediate complexity.
  • Solid organizational skills and excellent communication abilities, with demonstrated capacity to deliver presentations to senior executives and clients.
  • This position requires communication in English with Bell teams outside Quebec and/or its suppliers, partners, and clients outside Quebec. Functional knowledge of both French and English is essential.

SECURITY CLEARANCE

The holder must obtain and maintain the NATO Secret security clearance as issued by the Controlled Goods Directorate of Canada's Public Services and Procurement Canada and BTCL security officers.
