South Florida Pre-Construction Manager

Description

The Preconstruction Manager plays a key role in the planning and development of projects from concept through final contract. This position is responsible for managing all preconstruction activities, including budgeting, estimating, scheduling, constructability reviews, and coordination with design, engineering, manufacturing, and construction teams. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills and proven experience in preconstruction and construction estimating.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage the overall preconstruction estimating effort for South Florida projects.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, trade partners, and internal teams to foster collaboration and repeat business.
  • Prepare and manage conceptual and detailed cost estimates throughout design development.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets schedules, and risk analyses.
  • Coordinate with internal design, engineering, and manufacturing departments to ensure project feasibility.
  • Facilitate project meetings with clients, architects, engineers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee preconstruction team member's estimates for applicable projects, ensuring quality control and consistency in estimating and planning practices.
  • Collaborate with project managers and field operations during project transition to ensure scope, cost, and schedule alignment.
  • Determine code requirements in conjunction with development of scope of work for design-build projects
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor quotations
  • Create and maintain entire project estimates
  • Assist in the screening and pre-qualification of new subcontractor partners
  • Research the latest construction products and processes
