Summary:

The Sourcing Specialist - Pursuit Support is a specialized role dedicated to supporting JLL's business development organization in winning new business opportunities, client expansions, and renewals. Reporting to the Sourcing Pursuit Manager, this position requires a dynamic professional who can develop innovative third-party solutions and competitive pricing strategies under tight deadlines. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, market knowledge, creative problem-solving abilities, and the capability to deliver high-quality results across multiple concurrent pursuit opportunities.


Key Responsibilities:


Pursuit Solution Development

  • Collaborate with Sourcing Pursuit Leads and Sales teams to develop innovative third-party solutions and competitive pricing strategies for new business opportunities, client expansions, and renewals
  • Conduct comprehensive market research, supplier identification, and preliminary pricing analysis to support compelling client proposals and presentations
  • Develop creative sourcing approaches that differentiate JLL's value proposition and address specific client requirements
  • Support the development of go-to-market solutions that enhance JLL's competitive positioning
  • Translate complex sourcing concepts into clear, client-facing proposal content and presentation materials

Market Intelligence & Supplier Research

  • Conduct detailed market intelligence gathering to identify qualified suppliers and emerging market trends
  • Analyze supplier capabilities, service delivery models, geographic coverage, and competitive positioning
  • Research pricing trends, cost drivers, and benchmarking data to inform competitive pricing strategies
  • Build and maintain comprehensive supplier databases organized by service category, geography, and capability
  • Develop market intelligence summaries that inform pursuit strategy and client recommendations

RFx Process Management

  • Manage Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Information (RFI), and Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes in support of pursuit activities
  • Develop comprehensive tender documentation including scope requirements, evaluation criteria, and response templates following standardized processes
  • Coordinate supplier outreach, manage communication timelines, and ensure timely receipt of high-quality responses
  • Conduct thorough evaluations using systematic and analytical methods to identify optimal solutions
  • Present evaluation results and recommendations to Sourcing Pursuit Manager
  • Ensure all sourcing technology tools are utilized effectively throughout the RFx process

Financial Analysis & Modeling

  • Collect and analyze complex data sets to support sourcing decisions and pricing recommendations
  • Perform financial modeling, cost analysis, and total cost of ownership (TCO) calculations for pursuit scenarios
  • Develop pricing structures and cost models that balance competitiveness with profitability
  • Conduct benchmarking activities against industry standards and competitor offerings
  • Create business cases that quantify value propositions and potential savings opportunities

Proposal & Presentation Support

  • Develop sourcing content for client proposals, presentations, and capability statements
  • Create compelling data visualizations, charts, and graphics that communicate value clearly
  • Coordinate with Pricing teams to ensure alignment between sourcing strategies and financial proposals
  • Support proposal reviews and quality assurance processes to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Participate in pursuit kick-off meetings, strategy sessions, and proposal development workshops

Supplier Relationship Development

  • Build and maintain productive working relationships with key suppliers and service providers
  • Conduct supplier capability assessments and qualification reviews for pursuit opportunities
  • Coordinate supplier participation in client meetings, site visits, and presentations as needed
  • Support supply partner growth initiatives and relationship development to expand sourcing capabilities
  • Maintain regular communication with suppliers to stay informed of new capabilities and innovations

Due Diligence & Risk Assessment

  • Conduct comprehensive due diligence activities on suppliers proposed for pursuit solutions
  • Identify potential risks in pursuit sourcing strategies and escalate appropriately to management
  • Verify supplier credentials, certifications, insurance coverage, and compliance documentation as appropriate

Savings Identification & Value Quantification

  • Identify and quantify cost savings opportunities through competitive sourcing approaches
  • Develop savings calculations and value propositions that demonstrate measurable client benefits
  • Track and document savings methodologies using systematic and analytical approaches claims to ensure credibility and auditability
  • Support the articulation of value creation strategies in client-facing materials

Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Track pursuit pipeline, sourcing activities, and deliverable status against deadlines
  • Provide regular reporting on pursuit support activities, supplier engagement, and key metrics to Sourcing Pursuit Manager
  • Maintain accurate documentation of pursuit sourcing strategies, supplier proposals, and pricing analysis
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying lessons learned and process enhancements
  • Monitor pursuit win rates and analyze factors contributing to successful outcomes

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner closely with Sales, Pricing, Account Management, and operational teams throughout the pursuit process
  • Participate in pursuit team meetings and provide sourcing expertise and recommendations
  • Coordinate with Sourcing & Procurement Platform teams to leverage resources and best practices
  • Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders to support seamless pursuit execution
  • Communicate sourcing progress, challenges, and opportunities in a timely and professional manner

Required Qualifications:


Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of sourcing and procurement processes with specific focus on pursuit/business development contexts
  • Proficiency in RFP/RFI/RFQ development, management, and evaluation methodologies
  • Demonstrated analytical capabilities including financial modeling, cost analysis, and benchmarking
  • Experience with market research techniques, supplier identification, and capability assessments
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Estimated compensation for this position:

125,000.00 – 135,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
