Full Job Description
The Global Technology Sourcing Team moves fast and leverages key partnerships to drive technical innovation, high quality standards and cost-savings via a customized supply chain. The Sourcing Manager Lead for Semiconductor is the primary commercial & technical contact for supplier engagement and management with strategic semiconductor suppliers and, in conjunction with the Commercial & Technical Sourcing managers, will drive the strategic sourcing decisions on a global basis. Working closely with the supply chain, sourcing & Hardware Engineering teams, the Sourcing Manager Lead will help create disruptive value optimizing cost and risk and develop, communicate and implement sourcing strategies. The Sourcing Manager lead will participate in strategic semiconductor supplier engagements with an overall focus of leading large complex negotiations and deals, influencing and driving technology roadmaps, maintaining executive level supplier relationships, and driving best-in-class total cost of ownership outcomes. This position reports to the Director of Infra Sourcing.

Responsibilities

Lead development of semiconductor technology and commodity sourcing strategies and roadmaps including SOC, storage, memory and in-depth understanding of the actively managed adjacent technologies such as CPU
• Maintain current knowledge of the market and peer technology and industry trends for the assigned technologies commodities and perform competitive analysis on relevant products
• Provide technical commodity and supplier expertise and consulting to design engineering for technology migration and lower TCO
• Drive pre-POR evaluation of key technologies usability/suitability within the Meta infrastructure. Work with key internal partners on SW and tools that enable a timely evaluation
• Partner with hardware engineering teams to identify critical disruptive and new technologies with potential to deliver step function improvements in Performance and TCO. Develop evaluation criteria, and milestones to vet, incubate, and graduate technologies in a methodical and organized manner and lead supplier development and influence
• Develop domain strategies to yield optimal economic and supply risk outcomes for all critical silicon and SOC technology infrastructure
• Lead the active management of external semiconductor supplier partner relationships at the C-suite level, including commercial and supply agreements
• Manage supply chain risks and optionality to ensure the timely delivery of quality infrastructure products globally
• Develop sourcing strategies that address the unique needs of supply chain and manufacturing at hyperscale

Minimum Qualifications
• BSEE or degree in a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience commodity management in a high tech environment
• 15+ years of technical experience in the cloud service providers, networking or compute or AI silicon semiconductor and associated industries
• Demonstrated understanding of relevant supplier technology roadmaps, performance drivers and a proven pragmatic approach to influencing supplier product roadmaps
• Proven experience to move seamlessly from strategy to execution and deliver tangible results
• Interpersonal and communication skills, with experience leading, influencing, negotiating, building consensus and making key strategic decisions
• Demonstrated experience interfacing with internal and external partners in a fast-paced, often ambiguous and cross-functional environment, requiring a wide latitude for independent judgment while coordinating people and technical resources
• Knowledge of semiconductor value chain and related technologies such as memory, storage, foundry process, packaging, IP and direct and sub tier supply base
• In-depth understanding of "should cost" for semiconductor supply chain and design for value trade-offs
• Direct experience partnering with C-suite executives in top silicon and semiconductor companies

• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
• Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
• Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
• Leadership and management experience
• Experience in driving and engaging in industry ecosystem and standards
• MSEE OR MBA
