In this role, you will be responsible for leading supply chain activities supporting project delivery during preconstruction, buyout, construction, and change management. You will serve as the primary procurement resource for assigned projects while leading Supply Chain Specialists and ensuring procurement execution aligns with company standards, schedules, budgets, quality requirements, and commercial objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead subcontracting and/ or sourcing efforts for assigned construction projects.
Develop procurement execution strategies aligned with project schedules and budgets.
Serve as primary supply chain point of contact for assigned projects.
Develop bid lists and sourcing strategies for subcontractors, suppliers, and manufacturers.
Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and quantity takeoffs.
Manage subcontractor and supplier prequalification and risk evaluations.
Lead RFP/RFQ activities and commercial evaluations.
Prepare bid tabulations and award recommendations.
Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders.
Coordinate contract reviews with Legal and Operations
Monitor procurement of long - lead materials and equipment.
Participate in project kickoff, procurement, and turnover meetings.
Coordinate with Estimating, Preconstruction, Engineering, Operations, and Project Management.
Develop strategic supplier and subcontractor relationships.
Mentor Supply Chain Specialists.
Maintain procurement reporting, trackers, and templates.
Drive cost savings, risk reduction, and continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with company policies and client requirements.
Travel approximately 15% - 30%
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in procurement, engineering, construction, estimating, or a related field, including experience supporting complex procurement activities, vendor negotiations, and subcontractor management is required.
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
Strong knowledge of construction procurement and subcontract buyout.
Procore experience preferred
Understanding of contracts, bonds, insurance, logistics, and freight.
Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
Experience preparing bid tabulations and commercial evaluations.
Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
SPSM, CPSM, CPPP, or equivalent certification preferred.
Previous experience in the AEC industry preferred.

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
