Pay Range
$35.30 - $52.95Job Description

This role involves operating diagnostic ultrasound equipment to assess a wide range of OB/GYN conditions with a focus on high-risk pregnancies. Position requires experience in obstetrical sonography with a strong understanding of complex conditions and the ability to work independently. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to performing a variety of ultrasound examinations, evaluating the patient's ability to tolerate procedures, communicating diagnostic results with other team members, providing ultrasound guidance for procedures, documenting diagnostic and patient data within the medical record, and providing assistance with appropriate billing practices. Will participate in continuing education opportunities to enhance and improve technical skills of self and others.

Education

Associates degree in sonography from an accredited school required.

Bachelors degree preferred.

Degree training completed at a hospital, vocational-technical institute, or military service.

Experience

Minimum of one or more years of experience and/or training with experienced sonographer preferred.

Certifications & Licensures

Current certification with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ADRMS) required.

Certification and ongoing education for high-risk obstetrical scans as appropriate required.

Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Certification required.

Qualifications

Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology for accurate medical diagnosis as associated with ultrasound.

Competence in performing ultrasound procedures and services.

Ability to effectively operate all equipment utilized within the scope of a sonographer.

Accountability and attention to detail in the performance of duties.
