Description:
Position pending corporate approval.
This role involves working in a cardiovascular specialty clinic with 4 echo rooms.
The average number of providers in the clinic each day is between 2 to 8 cardiologists.
The clinic averages 9 echo appointments per echo room per day.
Common diagnoses include heart failure, stenosis, regurgitation, and pre-operative assessments.
The role requires certifications in adult echocardiography and a valid BLS certification.
Job duties include performing complete echo studies, limited echo studies, stress echocardiograms, and AV optimization.
The department uses Heartlab and Epic for electronic medical records.
Shifts are scheduled from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with one day off during the week depending on clinic needs.
There is no weekend or holiday requirement, and no call or standby is required.
The department has 4 echo rooms/machines and there is no requirement to float to other areas.
Average number of studies performed per day is 9 in a 10-hour shift.
The department does not utilize medical assistants or certified nursing assistants related to echo procedures.
Registered nurses will support IV administration if needed.
The role does not require starting IVs or floating to other areas.
The department has a supervisor overseeing the operations but does not involve radiologists directly.
