About the Job
In accordance with established vision and values of the organization and in accordance with the standards of professional practice, performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures/examinations and related duties working in collaboration with radiologists/cardiologists, physicians and other health care professionals.
The Medical Imaging Department consists of five Ultrasound Rooms and services offered include: Screening Mammography, Diagnostic Mammography, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Radiography, Bone Densitometry, Fluoroscopy, and Nuclear Medicine. Generalist Sonographers at PRH work with GE and Philips equipment that was purchased in the last two years. Our team works closely with the Radiologist group for interventional work.
This is a Permanent Full Time (1.00) opportunity.
Shifts of work will be scheduled rotating day shift.

Qualfications
Graduate of a recognized/accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasonography).
Current certification with Sonography Canada as required for the assigned practice area (such as, Generalist and/or Cardiac) and/or current certification with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as required for the assigned practice area (such as, Abdomen/Small Parts, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Cardiac, and/or Vascular) or be certified with Sonography Canada and have passed the Sonography Canada Skills Assessment (CCSA).
Eligible for membership with Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS.
