Full Job Description
Routinely creates and/or leads teams in design, development and implementation of innovative and replicable solutions using modeling techniques, database tools, products/materials and/or programs. Makes recommendations for highly complex sales opportunities and solutions when leading large cross department project teams.

Essential Functions
  • Effectively interacts with executives on a routine basis and/or is assigned as an informal leader, coach, or mentor to less senior staff.
  • May represent executive management at meetings or functions.
  • Provides presentations or acts on behalf of executive management.
  • Exhibits executive business etiquette and knowledge.
  • Acts independently on behalf of department or division.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

Bachelors Degree or equivalent in business, finance, marketing, mathematics, a quantitative discipline or related field.

Minimum Experience

Six (6) years experience in design, development and/or implementing sales/customer solutions to complex business situations.

  • Has advanced analytical skills with business software modeling techniques and database tools and approaches.
  • Ability to plan and work on multiple projects and produce high impact results.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead executive level projects.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide executive level presentations.

Preferred Qualifications

This posting is for a Principal position on the Sales Strategic Initiatives team in Global Sales Operations. Successful candidates must:
  • Understand critical business logic, processes and systems used by Global Sales teams to conduct comprehensive analyses.
  • Effectively communicate, collaborate with Global Sales teams and provide timely solutions to problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Independently attend cross-functional meetings and discussions to provide business guidance based on analytical insights to peers and managers of partner teams.
  • Research best practices and utilize external data and benchmarks to establish and monitor key performance metrics.
  • Mentors and trains professionals in less senior positions within the team on quantitative data analysis and utilization of analytical tools.
  • Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven business problem solving abilities with a quality mindset, including the ability to identify root causes and propose solutions.
  • Experience developing a story and recommendations to support business decisions.
  • Demonstrated process improvement, and systems thinking experience.
  • Experience with sales systems and/or processes as well as a breadth of FedEx knowledge and experience.
  • Experience in communicating with cross functional and global partners.
  • Ability to plan and work independently on multiple projects and produce high impact results
