Canadian Branch Infrastructure is an integral part of Branch & Infrastructure Technology Solutions within the Servicing & Digital Enablement Platform. The team supports Canadian Retail Branches by working closely with Retail Business partners and technology teams to introduce new technologies and updates, provide retail lab test devices, investigate and recommend new technology for retail branches, and support initiatives from conception through testing and production rollout.

Job Description

You will play an integral role within the Canadian Branch Infrastructure team, supporting retail partners who require hardware, lab environments, testing support, and technical guidance within the Creekside Lab. You will help provision, configure, set up, and maintain retail lab devices and infrastructure to ensure testing is completed successfully, thoroughly, and in a timely manner

In this role, you will support stability analysis, test planning, issue triage, and release readiness activities to help ensure changes being tested do not adversely impact other applications on the Canadian Retail platform. You will also act as a trusted partner to business users, application teams, technical teams, network teams, and vendors, supporting testing of retail technologies, hardware, network configurations, and application updates across lab environments.

Key Accountabilities

As a valued member of the Canadian Retail Infrastructure and Lab Management team, you will:

  • Perform Retail Change Governance and integration activities to support business awareness of change and risk levels, while providing guidance to projects on required testing, signoffs, change activities, support activities, and release readiness.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by actioning requests in a timely manner, supporting timelines, escalating issues where required, and helping resolve issues through knowledge of the Canadian Retail platform and applications.
  • Provide specialized support, including research, installation, configuration, provisioning, systems support, and documentation, while meeting or exceeding established standards and service levels and minimizing operational risk.
  • Build, deploy, and maintain base infrastructure components, including servers, workstations, peripherals, operating systems, middleware, lab segments, and environments required to mirror Canadian Retail production for scheduled and emergency testing.
  • Maintain base infrastructure components, work with third parties to report problems, receive fixes, and liaise with hardware and software vendors on equipment specifications, firmware updates, and support escalations.
  • Monitor system lifecycles to ensure specifications and functionality continue to support objectives and architecture decisions, redeveloping components where required.
  • Conduct research, build solutions, maintain documentation, and help evolve the base infrastructure and operational environment through the deployment of new technologies.
  • Use metrics to monitor environment performance and identify opportunities to improve performance and resource utilization.
  • Execute stability analysis and test plans, monitor and report results, identify and address application, data, cross-capability, and cross-release issues, and assist with issue resolution as required.
  • Facilitate UAT sessions for stakeholder application updates and assist in the triage of defects encountered during testing.
  • Act as a point of contact between business users and technical or application teams.
  • Design, review, and integrate hardware and application requirements, including functional, security, integration, performance, quality, and operational requirements.
  • Maintain secure computing facilities, technical infrastructure, and architecture.
  • Follow necessary processes, standards, business technology architecture, risk guidelines, production capacity guidelines, and disaster and business recovery plan standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Continue building knowledge of TD services, applications, infrastructure, analytical tools and techniques, and industry trends.
  • Embrace teamwork and collaboration to help resolve critical service issues.
