Overview

TISTA is seeking an experienced and strategic Solutions Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-level data and application platforms. This role owns the end-to-end technical vision from capture and proposal through delivery and operationalization.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in data intelligence platforms, multi-cloud architecture, and enterprise integration, with the ability to unify complex systems into scalable, governed solutions that drive mission outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the lead technical authority for large-scale programs, owning the technical vision from proposal and capture through delivery and operations, including integration design, cloud platform engineering, and migration roadmaps.
  • Drive enterprise modernization efforts, integrating multiple systems into unified, scalable, and governed data and application platforms.
  • Lead the technical strategy for data platforms, implementing Lakehouse, medallion architecture, and data mesh governance principles.
  • Design hub-and-spoke integration platforms and DevSecOps hosting strategies to unify disparate enterprise systems.
  • Define and implement operational models, including SLAs, observability, data quality frameworks, and production support strategies to ensure platform reliability and performance.
  • Build and present Proof of Concepts (POCs) and technical demonstrations for clients, including support for competitive procurements and oral presentations.
  • Design and develop reusable frameworks, accelerators, and enterprise platforms to improve delivery efficiency and reduce cost of bidding.
  • Implement data engineering and orchestration practices using tools such as Airflow, DBT, or equivalent, along with data governance and master data management frameworks.
  • Produce architecture artifacts including design documents, diagrams, standards, and white papers.
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to team growth, hiring, and capability development across the organization.
  • Lead the integration of AI/ML and Generative AI capabilities into enterprise solutions to drive innovation and mission value.
Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in enterprise architecture, integration patterns, and modern data platforms, including:
  • Event-driven architecture.
  • API-led integration (REST, SOAP, GraphQL).
  • ETL/ELT pipelines and streaming architecture.
  • Deep expertise in data platforms and distributed systems, including Lakehouse architectures and Delta Lake or equivalent.
  • Strong experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks or similar technologies.
  • Experience implementing data governance, data quality, and mastering data management (MDM) frameworks.
  • Strong proficiency in multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CDK).
  • Experience with containerization and DevSecOps, including Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, Java, or Go, along with PySpark and SQL.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting federal capture/proposal efforts, including technical solutioning and client presentations.
  • Experience designing and integrating enterprise-scale systems (10+ systems or large distributed environments).
  • Strong leadership experience, including stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Knowledge of federal security frameworks (FISMA, RMF, FedRAMP, HIPAA).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strongly preferred experience in healthcare, supply chain, or large federal data environments.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, Databricks, TOGAF).
  • Experience with Agile and SAFe delivery frameworks.

  • US Citizen only.

Location:

  • Remote, USA.

  • Travel as necessary.

Pay Range:

  • The pay for this position ranges from $144,245 to $165,395.
  • The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
