Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Developer / Solutions Architect to lead the design and development of scalable Customer Screening and Rules Engine platforms. The ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on engineering expertise with solution architecture experience and knowledge of rules-based processing, customer screening, matching, decisioning, KYC, AML, and financial crimes applications.

Key Responsibilities
• Architect and develop configurable rules engines supporting name screening, entity resolution, and risk scoring.
• Design and implement scalable data processing solutions using PySpark for high-volume batch and near real-time workloads.
• Develop Java-based microservices, REST APIs, and workflow orchestration components.
• Design matching algorithms, scoring methodologies, and exception management workflows.
• Architect solutions supporting customer, vendor, and third-party data screening.
• Design solutions for screening data against watchlists, sanctions lists, and risk management criteria.
• Translate compliance and screening requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and architecture guidance to development teams.
• Conduct code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
• Mentor development teams and provide technical direction.
• Support system design, scalability planning, and enterprise application architecture.

Required Qualifications
• 8+ years of engineering experience.
• 3+ years of solutions architecture experience.
• 8+ years of Java development experience, including Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and distributed application architecture.
• Strong experience with rules-based engine architecture, decisioning platforms, or workflow orchestration solutions.
• Experience with customer screening, fuzzy matching, identity matching, entity resolution, or sanctions screening.
• Strong PySpark experience building and optimizing large-scale data processing pipelines.
• Experience with KYC, AML, and/or financial crimes applications.
• Proven experience designing scalable enterprise applications and distributed systems.
• Strong system design, scalability planning, and technical leadership skills.
• Experience with a programming language, with Java highly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with AML, KYC, sanctions screening, or financial crime platforms.
• Experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Experience with machine learning or AI-assisted matching technologies.
• Strong SQL and data modeling experience.
