WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US

The Portfolio Management Solutions Engineer plays a critical role in shaping SimCorp’s go-to-market, sales, and marketing initiatives to support revenue growth and expand SimCorp’s presence across the Americas. With a focus on Portfolio Management, this role helps articulate the value of SimCorp One to both prospective and existing clients. Working closely with Sales, Product, Customer Success and Implementation teams, the Solutions Engineer leads and coordinates client presentations and software demonstrations, ensuring SimCorp One’s capabilities are effectively showcased and aligned to client needs.


WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Act as a subject matter expert on all areas as it relates to Portfolio Management in the Americas markets.

  • Collaborate with sales teams to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling, while ensuring that solutions are tailored to client requirements.

  • Prepare and facilitate detailed SimCorp One software demonstrations, presentations, and workshops for clients and prospects.

  • Hold regular meetings with prospects and clients to understand their current use of technology and systems, and to identify opportunities to leverage additional available functionality not currently licensed.

  • Review and / or prepare responses to prospective client RFIs (Requests for Information) and RFPs (Requests for Proposal).

  • Ensure effective and detailed knowledge transfer from the sales process to the implementation team following contract execution.

  • Provide input to the product team on market trends and evolving client requirements.

  • Mentor and support junior Solution Engineers, sharing expertise and developing their capabilities within the Solution Engineering team.

  • Contribute to build out of local and global demonstration systems to reflect how the system should be used by clients in the various verticals; Pension Funds, Asset Managers, Insurance Companies, Central Banks.  

WHAT WE VALUE

  • 12+ years’ experience within the Financial Services Industry with exposure to the front office functions across the Buyside.

  • University degree in business or technology.

  • Strong knowledge of Buy Side Portfolio Management workflows, technologies and competitive solutions including PMS (Portfolio Management System), Risk Analytics, Portfolio Optimization and, Portfolio Attribution is a must.

  • Experience across a broad range of Public & Private asset classes (e.g., fixed income, equities, derivatives) with a specific focus on Portfolio Management and a secondary focus around Trading and Compliance .

  • Knowledge and expertise around Compliance, EMS (Execution Management Systems), OMS (Order Management Systems, TCA (Transaction Cost Analysis) and is desirable.

  • Practical experience with SimCorp One, particularly as it relates front office workflows, is highly desirable.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal. Particularly when demonstrating platform capabilities and articulating value propositions.

  • Strong problem-solving capabilities with a solution-oriented mindset and a commitment to delivering outcomes.

  • Methodical, self-motivated, and able to perform effectively during high-demand projects.

  • Proven relationship builder with strong interpersonal skills, both in client-facing engagements and cross-functional collaboration.

  • A critical thinker with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

  • Willingness to travel as required.

  • Flexibility to work remotely up to 3 days per week as per our hybrid policy.

For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $162,800 - $244,200 USD. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including health care, leave, and retirement plans. Your total compensation may vary based on role, location, department and individual performance.
