Software Solution Architect II

We are seeking a technology Principal, Solutions Architect to join our UST-PACE (Solution Engineering and Architecture Leadership) organization. This senior individual contributor role is the primary technical authority in enterprise engagements, supporting global verticals and responsible for translating complex business challenges into compelling, credible solutions across Agentic AI and AI-Native SDLC for CxO and engineering stakeholders.

The opportunity:
• Lead technical discovery, solution design, and architectural validation across complex enterprise opportunities spanning DevOps, SRE, Cloud, and Agentic AI.
• Design and deliver executive-level solution architecture, presentations, live demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements that showcase Agentic AI and AI-Native SDLC solutions.
• Partner with account teams to develop win strategies, shape RFP responses, and craft technical narratives that differentiate against competitors.
• Architect end-to-end agentic AI solutions spanning LLM integration, RAG pipelines, multi-agent orchestration, and enterprise system connectivity.
• Advise enterprise customers on AI-Native SDLC transformation, including developer toolchain modernization, AI-assisted coding practices, and delivery pipeline redesign.
• Represent UST as a technical thought leader at industry events, customer briefings, and partner engagements across the US.
• Build and maintain deep relationships with technical and business stakeholders at strategic accounts, leveraging established US enterprise networks.
• Actively monitor the frontier AI landscape - model releases, agentic frameworks, regulation, and competitive tooling - and translate emerging trends into customer-relevant insights.
• Mentor and coach junior members of the team, contributing to practice development and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to feed field insights back into the roadmap.

This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.

What you need:
• 14-18 years of total technology experience, with at least 5 years in a pre-sales, solution engineering, or technical advisory role.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and deploying Cloud, DevOps, and SRE solutions; delivering production Agentic AI or LLM-based solutions is highly advantageous.
• Proven track record supporting and closing enterprise deals of $1M+.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerized deployment patterns.
• Strong understanding of AI-Native SDLC practices including AI-assisted coding, CI/CD integration, and developer toolchain modernization.
• Deep knowledge of LLM architectures, prompt engineering, RAG, vector databases, and multi-agent orchestration frameworks (LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, or equivalent).
• Hands-on proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript; comfortable writing and reviewing production-grade code in customer-facing settings.
• Demonstrated ability to engage and influence CxO and senior engineering audiences.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Active presence in the AI community - publishing, speaking, or contributing to open-source agentic projects.
• Experience in a top-tier consulting firm, ISV, or hyperscaler pre-sales function with US enterprise market responsibility.
• Familiarity with US enterprise procurement cycles, compliance frameworks (SOC 2, FedRAMP), and AI regulatory developments (US Executive Orders on AI).
• Knowledge of responsible AI frameworks, AI governance, and emerging regulatory landscape.
• Experience with AI evaluation, benchmarking, and model selection for enterprise use cases.
• Relevant certifications in cloud platforms or AI/ML (AWS ML Specialty, Azure AI Engineer, Google Professional ML Engineer).
• Core Competencies
• Exceptional consultative listening skills - able to frame ambiguous business problems as concrete technical opportunities.
• Executive storytelling: translates technical complexity into clear business value for non-technical audiences.
• Resilient and composed under commercial pressure; thrives in competitive, multi-stakeholder deal environments.
• Insatiable curiosity - consistently experiments with emerging AI tools before they go mainstream.
• Strong cross-functional influencer; builds trust and alignment without direct authority.
• Collaborative team mindset with a genuine commitment to mentoring and knowledge sharing.
