Position Overview

We are seeking highly skilled Design Engineers to support new automated assembly system projects. In this role, you will be responsible for independently executing complex mechanical designs, collaborating closely with Project Engineers during structured design reviews, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions within fast-paced project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop complex mechanical designs for custom automated assembly equipment using SolidWorks and Windchill.
  • Independently evaluate, select, and apply advanced engineering principles to solve complex design challenges.
  • Adapt and modify established engineering methods to address non-routine or highly customized design requirements.
  • Own assigned machine design work from initial concept/layout through detailed component and assembly development.
  • Participate in formal design reviews with Project Engineers and incorporate feedback effectively and professionally.
  • Ensure all designs meet requirements for accuracy, manufacturability, safety, and performance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, controls, and systems integration teams.
  • Provide strong technical execution and design judgment without project management or leadership responsibilities.
Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience designing automated assembly systems or similar automation equipment.
  • Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks (required) and Windchill (preferred).
  • Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, automation systems, component selection, and machine design.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced engineering environment with minimal oversight.
  • Demonstrated capability to produce complete, accurate mechanical designs under tight deadlines.
  • Open to constructive feedback and able to efficiently implement design revisions.
Work Environment & Expectations
  • Approximately 50+ hours per week, with flexible start times between 6:00-8:00 AM.
