- Participating in software requirements and design reviews.
- Reviewing software requirements and design specifications.
- Creating requirements traceability matrices which demonstrate test coverage of all features.
- Creating and executing software verification and test plans.
- Participating in software code reviews.
- Developing and executing test cases, test scripts, test plans, and test scenarios for all applicable requirements.
- Writing Unit and Integration Tests across multiple platforms
- Creating/ Leading and maintaining dashboards that allow others to understand software performance.
- Collaborating with Software Engineers to ensure root cause analysis for problems found during verification
- Documenting results of testing activities.
- Collaborating with engineering, data science, and release to monitor and enforce robust criteria for measuring and gating releases.
Required Skills & Abilities: - Strong proficiency in programming skills (e.g., C/C++) for embedded systems
- Experience with various automotive data buses, such as CAN, CAN/FD, Ethernet, FlexRay
- Strong understanding of algorithms and subjects relevant to ground robotics, including perception, world modeling, navigation/localization, planning, and motion control
- Hands-on experience with integration of other complex electro-mechanical systems (autonomous vehicles, aerospace, medical, etc.)
- Experience with command line Linux tools and system configuration required.
- Familiarity with Atlassian tools: Jira/Confluence/Crucible
Education & Experience: - BS or MS in Computer Science, Robotics, Software, Mechatronics or related engineering field
- 5+ years of experience in software test, automation, and root-cause analysis in fields similar in complexity to autonomous driving
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience using model-based programming tools such as ANSYS SCADE, Simulink, or similar in safety critical applications
- Familiarity with ISO-26262, ISO/PAS 21448, ISO-21434, IEC 61508, MIL-STD-882, or similar safety specifications
- Experience with continuous integration systems and containerization (e.g., Jenkins, Docker)
- Experience with Verification and Validation Test Procedure generation and execution
- Experience with System and Subsystem Requirement/Specification Generation
- Experience with Python, LabView, or MATLAB for data collection and analysis
- Experience with model-based systems engineering tools and practices, particularly SysML and MagicDraw
- Experience with autonomous robotic systems
- Candidate should be a self-motivated, flexible team player with good written and oral skills, able to prioritize efforts on the fly in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience designing and executing verification and validation tasks software unit, component, subsystem, and system testing
