We9re looking for a Software Safety Engineer on our Safety & Mission Assurance team at our Brampton office. As a Software Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for product safety requirements and analysis for LEO and lunar destinations. What you9ll do 9 Product safety development 9 Performing safety/hazard assessments and analyses on projects involving complex electromechanical systems with a significant software component. 9 Performing software criticality analysis 9 Developing product software safety requirements to meet customer and mission requirements 9 Performing trade-off studies to ensure the requirements are the right requirements 9 Working with design, systems engineering and software groups to ensure that safety-related inputs are incorporated into the design. 9 Analyzing safety-critical software documentation and source code for safety 9 Analyzing reused software for safety 9 Defend safety decisions to internal and external customers 9 Ensure safety requirements are met in design phase 9 Contribute to System Safety Analysis Reports 9 Present safety designs at safety review panels What you9ll need to get the job done 9 5+ years of software safety experience in a safety-critical development environment, preferably in aerospace. 9 Minimum of a Bachelor9s degree in Software, Computer, or Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science 9 Ability to communicate with and work alongside multiple engineering disciplines to develop safety requirements 9 Ability to multi-task across projects and teams. 9 A strong aptitude for continuous improvement. 9 Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills. 9 Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
