This role is well suited for someone who can operate independently, take ownership of quality for a complex web application, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across Charles River Development (CRD) and State Street. • Design, document, and execute functional test cases covering end-user web workflows, configuration changes, validations, approvals, and backend interactions exposed through the UI.

  • Partner with product managers and developers to review test scenarios and ensure adequate coverage of business and technical requirements.

  • Execute manual and automated tests every sprint, with a focus on regression coverage for Web UI components and underlying Java micro services.

  • Develop and maintain test automation for UI and/or API layers and analyze results to identify defects and risk areas.

  • Perform end-to-end integration testing across the web application and dependent CRD / State Street systems.

  • Validate test outcomes, capture audit-ready evidence, and ensure results are reviewed and approved by QA leadership.

  • Support release readiness activities, including walkthroughs, demos, and test sign-off discussions with business and product stakeholders.

  • Maintain and validate test environments and test data, including configuration-driven scenarios typical of enterprise web platforms.

  • Build deep functional knowledge of the web platform (Self Service Portal) and its interaction with downstream systems.

  • Act as a QA subject matter expert, assisting with analysis and troubleshooting of production or client-reported issues when required.

Education and Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance.

  • Hands-on experience testing Web applications (React-based/HTML/JavaScript)

  • Familiarity testing applications backed by Java micro servcies.

  • Proficiency in SQL for data validation and issue analysis.

  • Experience working with enterprise applications involving authentication, workflow-based user actions, and configuration-driven behavior.

  • Demonstrated experience with QA automation frameworks (UI and/or API).

  • Understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Prior exposure to financial services or Charles River platforms is a plus.

  • Strong willingness and ability to learn new functional and technical concepts.

Additional Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document test results and communicate issues.

  • Ability to work independently while effectively coordinating with distributed global teams.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.

  • Comfortable working in a release-driven, high-visibility environment.

  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to ramp up quickly and contribute with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to explain end-user workflows and system behavior to QA peers and cross-functional stakeholders.
