Responsibilities

  • Review system-level designs and perform software architecture, requirements, and coding verification activities.
  • Oversee multiple stages of safety-critical, real-time software design, development, and testing.
  • Monitor programs to ensure compliance with company and program standards.
  • Identify issues and risks and collaborate with the software development team for resolutions.
  • Chair software non-conformance reviews and ensure effective corrective actions are implemented.
  • Ensure the incorporation of software reliability, fault tolerance, and maintainability features.
  • Participate in milestone reviews, chairing software Test Readiness Reviews.
  • Conduct in-process and phase-end audits, identify risks, and agree on corrective actions.

Full Job Description
Role:

Provide technical and administrative direction and oversight to ensure that software quality and its development processcomply withprogram requirements and standards.The SW PA is part of exciting satellite constellation projectteams,andthe SW PAisinvolved in theassembly, integration, and test environmentactivities, as well asproviding supporttoon-orbit operations.This role directly helps turn mission-critical software into reliable, launch-ready space capabilities that perform throughout the satellite mission lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewsystem-leveldesigns andperformsoftware architecture,requirements, andcodingverificationactivities.

  • Reviewandoverseemultiple stages ofsafety-critical, real-time software design,development, andtesting.

  • Monitor programs toensurecompliancewithcompanyandprogram standards.

  • Identifyissues andrisksandworkwiththe softwaredevelopmentteamtoresolvethem.

  • Chair software non-conformancereviewsandensuretheimplementationof effective corrective actions.

  • Contributeto software AI&Tactivitiesbyensuringthepreparation,review, and compliance ofprocedures, scripts, test configurations,results, and software anomaliesassociatedwithsatelliteassembly,integration, and test phases.

  • Support satellite mission assuranceactivitiesbyassessingthe impact of software anomalies on performance,availability,reliability, launchreadiness, and mission objectives, and byparticipatingintechnicaldecisionsrelatedto missionrisk.

  • Oversee software problem resolution process by ensuring that the root cause isidentifiedthat regression tests are performed and that correctactivities have been performed for the closure of the problem.

  • Identifyprocess improvements to increase quality, productivity, efficiency, and cost savings.


MinimumRequiredQualifications:

  • Bachelor'sdegreein software, computer, orelectricalengineering, or computer science; amaster'sdegreeispreferred.

  • 5 or moreyearsof relevantexperience.

  • Excellentwrittenand verbal communicationskills.

  • Stronganalyticalandproblem-solvingskills.

  • Goodknowledgeof C/C++ and VHDL.

  • Highlymotivatedandenthusiastic,witha positive attitude.


DesiredSkills/Experience:

  • Previousexperiencein softwareproductassurance orqualityassurance.

  • Previousexperiencewithone of thefollowing: MIL / NASA / ESA software and softwarequalityassurance standards.

  • Experiencein thedevelopmentortestingof real-time,safety-criticalsoftware solutions.

  • Experiencewithreal-timeembeddedsoftware.

  • Experiencewithautomatedtesting/scripting.

  • ExperiencewithAgiledevelopment,includingcontinuousintegrationandbuildautomation.


Comments/Special Considerations:

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the SECRET status level II, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
