DescriptionOur Advanced Test and Support Systems (ATSS) group is seeking
Software Engineer/Principal Software Engineer (Level 2/3) to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals in
Oklahoma City, OK. You will become part of a Northrop Grumman team of professionals who are actively developing Avionics Testing Solutions and Specialized Test Equipment.
Responsibilities:
• Oversight and ownership of software engineering design and implementation for a wide array of projects including:
o Solution design
o Modelling and presentations
o Work Planning
o Embedded Coding
o Debugging
o Hardware Control and Interface
o Data Acquisition and Management
o Multilevel Test and Verification
o Development and coordination for internal and customer design reviews for the software and system level designs of our products
o Integration into DevSecOps environment
• Development of supporting documentation (operating / user manuals, etc.) for our products
• Assist in troubleshooting of lab equipment as failures occur
• Coordination with management to ensure product technical data packages meet project schedule commitments
• Coordinate between several internal and external stakeholder groups (Software Development, System Test, Cyber Operations, Procurement, etc.) to achieve contractual commitments
Basic Qualifications:
- Software Engineer: Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent) with 2 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree with 0 years of related engineering experience
- Principal Software Engineer: Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent) with 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree with 3 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD with 0 years of related engineering experience
- Experience with SAFe Agile software development using Python, C++, and/or C# in a Windows or Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment
- Knowledge of object-oriented design and software lifecycles
- Experience with version control software, configuration management processes, and modern CI/CD practices
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain a U.S. government SECRET security clearance & special program access
- Experience in Aerospace or Defense industry (development or test)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active U.S. government SECRET or higher security clearance with investigation in the last five (5) years
- Active Program clearance
- Master’s Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
- Experience with HW/SW Integration
- Experience with DevSecOps pipeline (GitHub/GitLab)
- Experience in software development to include any of the following: kernel mode, embedded, command and control, web applications, network applications
- Development of lower-level networking protocols such as TCP/IP and UDP and/or MIL-STD-1553
- Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket)
- Experience with NI LabVIEW development
- Experience with supporting operational systems
- Experience with supporting distributed systems
- Experience with working in Virtualized Environments (VMs, AWS Cloud Instances)
- Experience with QT or GL Studios
Primary Level Salary Range: $75,100.00 - $112,700.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $93,300.00 - $139,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
