Position Description & Qualifications

Looking for an opportunity where you can make an impact every day? Discover this exciting opportunity supporting the Air Force Modeling and Simulation Support Services (AFMS3) program. Must have an active U.S. Department of War (DoW) Secret security clearance.

You will serve as the Software Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead on an Agile Scrum team responsible for designing, developing, and sustaining mission-critical software solutions. In this role, you will provide technical leadership, mentor developers, collaborate with product owners and stakeholders, and help guide architectural and implementation decisions. Working closely with government customers and cross-functional teams, you will ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software capabilities while supporting Agile best practices, continuous improvement, and program objectives.

In this role, you will:
  • Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of legacy software solutions and frameworks.
  • Modernize existing software architectures to improve scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Design and implement web-based applications that support mission-critical training and learning capabilities.
  • Provide technical expertise in the development, integration, and sustainment of Learning Management System (LMS) solutions.
  • Collaborate with system architects and engineers to gather requirements and guide system design decisions.


To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • US citizenship is required.
  • An active U.S. Department of War (DoW) Secret security clearance.
  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related engineering discipline.
  • 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience developing and supporting Learning Management Systems.
  • Experience with web development and modern application architecture.
  • To be proficient in PHP and Python development.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in an Agile team environment.
  • A strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Prior experience supporting AFMS, or other DoW M&S programs, is strongly desired
  • The possibility to telecommute (Full-time)
  • The ability to travel up to 10%.


Additional desired experience and skills:
  • Expertise in administering, customizing, and supporting enterprise Learning Management Systems, including Moodle.
  • Working knowledge of eLearning content integration and tracking using Rustici Engine.
  • Ability to create and maintain learning analytics, dashboards, and reporting solutions with IntelliBoard.
  • Familiarity with deploying and operating applications in Cloud One environments.
  • Strong understanding of MongoDB database design, development, and administration.
  • Proficiency using version control tools such as Git or Bitbucket.
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
