Full Job Description


BCT LLC is seeking a Software Integration Engineer 4 to join our team. The ideal candidate must possess an active TS/SCI with POLY and have experience providing expertise in integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with the Linux CLI, and the Linux suite of tools
  • Extensive recent experience using Bash/Python to develop scripts
  • Solid understanding of the Slurm resource management and job scheduling tool
  • Experience with integration, evaluation, and system administration of HPC systems
  • Experience troubleshooting HPC system problems, including basic system administration tasks, including software stack issues and hardware issues
  • Experience with IaC principles and automation tools such as Salt and Ansible
  • Familiar with HPC shared file systems such as Lustre, GPFS, and Panasas
  • Familiar with system monitoring tools such as Ganglia and Nagios
  • Familiar with acceleration technologies such as GPU, FPGA, and ASICs
  • Familiar with high-speed network interconnect technologies such as InfiniBand and Slingshot
  • Familiar with open-source industry-standard HPC benchmark tooling
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems with a rigorous, analytical approach that enables diagnosis of root causes and discovery of mitigation/solution paths

Desired Skills
  • Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
  • Experience supporting HPC large-scale systems and customers

Required Education:

Qualified candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and have at least ten (10) years of demonstrable experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment OR
  • The individual shall have five (5) years full-time Computer Science directly related work that can be substituted for a degree and have at least ten (10) years of demonstrable experience OR
  • An industry recognized professional certification, as defined in the TT0s, may substitute as one (1) year experience OR
  • A master's degree in computer science or related field may substitute for two (2) years' experience.


Salary Range: $173,000-227,100

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, BCT-LLC considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
