Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree plus 2 years experience, or Master's degree plus 1 year experience in data collection/instrumentation related to aviation or R&D.

Responsibilities

  • Review, debug, and update custom software applications.
  • Support all phases of flight testing from pre-flight to post-flight.
  • Oversee and mentor less-senior staff members.
  • Implement data acquisition controls and maintain/debug software routines.
  • Participate in logistics for equipment transport and setup.
  • Operate electronics test equipment as necessary.

Software/Instrumentation Engineer - Journeyman Ft. Eustis - Newport News, VA Area MUST BE US CItiZEN - Sorry, Green Card Holders are not eligible to apply. Support for configuration, operation, and development of ground and flight test data acquisition, display, reduction, and analysis systems. Key Duties • Configure PCM, aircraft data bus, Ethernet, IRIG-106, and related systems. • Review, debug, and evolve custom software (MATLAB, LabVIEW, C#, C++, Visual Basic). • Support flight testing (pre-flight through post-flight) and potential in-flight duties. • Oversee less-senior staff. • Implement data acquisition controls, participate in flight testing, maintain/debug software routines, and operate electronics test equipment. • Support equipment transport and setup (valid driver's license; ability to lift 25 lbs). Minimum Qualifications • ABET-accredited Bachelor's + 2 years (or Master's + 1 year) data collection/instrumentation experience related to aviation or R&D, plus CAD experience.
