Leads a software engineering function by managing, developing, and optimizing a team of Software Engineers and the technology ecosystem. Oversees the design, implementation, and support of software solutions that drive business value, ensures alignment with organizational goals, regulatory compliance, and risk management, and fosters technical excellence and team performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Manages and directs a software engineering team, overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring delivery of high-quality, scalable software solutions.
2. Plans, prioritizes, and allocates resources to meet short-term operational goals and project deadlines within the software engineering area.
3. Develops and enforces software engineering standards, best practices, and governance to maintain code quality and compliance.
4. Collaborates with cross-functional teams including architecture, analytics, and security to deliver integrated technology solutions.
5. Oversees the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications that meet business and user needs.
6. Mentors and coaches team members to enhance technical skills, career growth, and performance.
7. Reviews and approves technical designs, code, and documentation to ensure adherence to standards and project requirements.
8. Identifies and mitigates risks related to software development and delivery, ensuring reliable and secure solutions.
9. Drives continuous improvement initiatives in engineering processes, tools, and methodologies.
10. Communicates team progress, challenges, and achievements to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
2. A minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience, including team leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
