Responsibilities- Execute full-stack development from day one, independently building, testing, and deploying frontend and backend features for Rivian's Product Development Portal.
- Architect and implement scalable web applications that automate complex workflows, directly driving engineering productivity and multi-million dollar annual savings.
- Strengthen system resiliency by writing clean, maintainable code that supports critical design and manufacturing lifecycles to enhance overall vehicle quality.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and product teams to rapidly prototype and ship intuitive, user-centric internal tools in a fast-paced environment.
- Take immediate technical ownership by proactively troubleshooting issues, participating in code reviews, and contributing to system architecture decisions to continuously improve platform performance.
Qualifications- Must be currently pursuing a bachelors or masters degree at an accredited university.
- Actively pursuing a degree or one closely related in computer science or similar.
- Prior software engineering internship or co-op experience, establishing the ability to instantly integrate into agile teams, independently navigate production codebases, and ship robust features from day one.
- Strong foundation in scalable systems architecture, including hands-on experience with REST/GraphQL APIs, database design (SQL/NoSQL), and cloud infrastructure (such as AWS).
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to translate complex engineering bottlenecks into intuitive, highly resilient digital tools that drive enterprise efficiency.
Pay DisclosureThe salary range for this role is $33.00-51.00/HR for Palo Alto based applicants. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, and organizational needs.
